Rose Garden opened for business on February 17th in 1999

The building is the original Blacksmith's shop which was owned by the Cromford blacksmith, Mr Mee, and the building remains with the Mee family to this day. The Rose Garden business has been set up primarily to supply good quality Chinese products and mainly food products. Due to increased demand locally the shop has expanded to provide Chinese take-away hot food and also Chinese herbal remedies and medicines. The proprietor herself is from Guangzhou in China and she is happy to offer advice on all matters relating to Chinese food, Chinese medicine and also traditional Chinese tea making. There are varieties of Chinese tea which customers visiting the shop may taste before deciding to purchase. We can demonstrate the Chinese Tea Ceremony and explain some of the interesting facts about the history and culture of Chinese tea generally.
